Penelope Lombard has been teaching Pilates on the Reformer for the last ten years. She grew up studying ballet then worked for a chiropractor rehabbing patients with Pilates and then ran Pilate Body Studio in West Los Angeles, before running her own Pilates studio, NOT SO SNOTTY PILATES.

Now she works in her home studio with all ages and levels, and specializes in clients experiencing discomfort, sickness or injuries. Penelope is a certified spinning instructor, teaches Nia Dance, has a B.A. in Psychology and a master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology.

Nelson was rescued from the Burbank Shelter.  He's a special needs kitty whose eyes were left with permanent dilation after an illness as a baby.  His work as a therapy cat at Not So Snotty Pilates gives him an opportunity to give back to the world.  He can be found holding positive energy, playing with your hair, or batting at toes -- all in service of the client's healing.

Did you know that Pilates original name was Contrology? Or that one hour of Pilates burns calories all day long?

Since working with Penelope, I've seen and felt positive changes with my body. She's helped me gain strength, flexibility, and an inner awareness of my body that wasn’t there before. She has been great working with my back issues and making sure I'm in alignment.  Plus it's just fun working out with her and Nelson!

I have been impressed with Penelope’s calm, detailed and focused method of instruction — I always look forward to letting it all go and working hard in her sessions.  Plus My core strength has increased so much that it’s now fun to do more challenging body has really toned up.
